I really need to get a job. Now. I need to be called for an interview for at least one of the 25 or so jobs that I have applied for.
Prayers, hope, wishes…all will be appreciated.
I’ll keep you posted.
And, thanks.

I am so happy for the boy! He spent first semester playing the trumpet, hoping to move up to the saxaphone in 7th grade. Well, after auditions, she chose only 4 kids from 6th grade to move up. He was one.
He brought it home today. I love hearing the sax. My dad is a professional musician. He has always played the sax. He also plays the clarinet. My daughter played that all thru middle and high school and even one semester of college.
He is one happy, proud Poppa tonight!
Here is the picture of a determined Boy Scout. Heading out this morning for a 3.5 mile hike-in camping trip. He was showing signs of a cold yesterday and today. Lovely. It’s going to be a rainy weekend. He said he will probably regret going, but not as much as he would regret NOT going.
Bill Murray on Gilda Radner:
“Gilda got married and went away. None of us saw her anymore. There was one good thing: Laraine had a party one night, a great party at her house. And I ended up being the disk jockey. She just had forty-fives, and not that many, so you really had to work the music end of it. There was a collection of like the funniest people in the world at this party. Somehow Sam Kinison sticks in my brain. The whole Monty Python group was there, most of us from the show, a lot of other funny people, and Gilda. Gilda showed up and she’d already had cancer and gone into remission and then had it again, I guess. Anyway she was slim. We hadn’t seen her in a long time. And she started doing, “I’ve got to go,” and she was just going to leave, and I was like, “Going to leave?” It felt like she was going to really leave forever.
So we started carrying her around, in a way that we could only do with her. We carried her up and down the stairs, around the house, repeatedly, for a long time, until I was exhausted. Then Danny did it for a while. Then I did it again. We just kept carrying her; we did it in teams. We kept carrying her around, but like upside down, every which way—over your shoulder and under your arm, carrying her like luggage. And that went on for more than an hour—maybe an hour and a half—just carrying her around and saying, “She’s leaving! This could be it! Now come on, this could be the last time we see her. Gilda’s leaving, and remember that she was very sick—hello?”
We worked all aspects of it, but it started with just, “She’s leaving, I don’t know if you’ve said good-bye to her.” And we said good-bye to the same people ten, twenty times, you know.
And because these people were really funny, every person we’d drag her up to would just do like five minutes on her, with Gilda upside down in this sort of tortured position, which she absolutely loved. She was laughing so hard we could have lost her right then and there.
It was just one of the best parties I’ve ever been to in my life. I’ll always remember it. It was the last time I saw her.”- from Live from New York: an Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live
I love this story.
Beautiful.
Reblogging for my mom, who absolutely adores Gilda.
**Thanks, Pooh! This made me laugh and cry at the same time :)
I don’t have resolutions, I have dreams.
I feel like I need to have a new job before the end of 2012. I am overdone at my current one. Same company almost 18 years. Same capacity for 13. No where to move up to and salary max reached. Add to that: it’s retail. Stress, hours, holidays. Yuk.
I need to get my house in order. In all possible ways. De-clutter, paint, complete a few DIY projects and I also need to get rid of about 145 lbs of shit. He needs to go. No question about it. I cannot describe how ridiculous my life is. Alcoholism effects everyone. I don’t drink.
It’s my turn to find out who I am out from under oppression and negativity. I need to feel like a grown up.
Hope and Faith. BFFs to the bitter end.
So, I came home from work tonight and all of the sudden, my WiFi works on the Kindle.
I’ll just take the “gift” of something fixing itself.
I am just now discovering the CLOUD. I am uploading my music and some pictures to the CLOUD. It takes foreverrr to upload songs to the CLOUD but, I can live with that.
This could be exciting. Thinking I’m gonna like it.
Crap! Somehow, I lost my connection to my wireless router in the house. Now, I cannot re-connect. I know the password is correct. Damn.
I love technology.

The sixth grade band members before the concert tonight. These guys are the coolest! :) I particularly like the blonde trumpet player!
His first concert. He was nervous, but he did great! They all did :)
Here, they are concentrating on Linus and Lucy, the Peanuts Christmas song. It was by far their favorite.
Two very accomplished jazz bands followed. Very nice!!
At one point, there were 8 Boy Scouts from our Troop on stage. Music and Scouts. Hopefully a recipe for good men!
